Crown House - Calm, curated, and layered with soul.

Tucked into a leafy riverside pocket, this inner-city townhouse balances calm and character. Designed for Quinlan and her husband—keen entertainers looking to make the house a home—the palette leans muted, with pastel tones fostering a calming mood. To complement their recent renovation with Sonelo Architects, we layered in art and furniture to give the space its soul.

When you enter the house, a limited edition print of Islands by Dani Watson sets the tone, paired with a mirror that doubles the light and drapes that soften the divide—simple moves that transform a tight entry into a seamless transition to the study.

In the study, we created a cozy reading nook by pairing the iconic leather Togo chair with a custom round Studio BASE rug in soft sand, chosen to complement the cork flooring and add tactile warmth.

The living space is all about grounded form, softened edges, and a tonal palette of muted greens and blues. A bold Proxima coffee table brings a sculptural punch, while the organic rug pattern ties it all together with a nod to the lush surrounds just beyond the glass. This space also features I Was Hoping For An Egg by Veronica Cay, specified through Studio Gallery, adding a playful yet sophisticated touch.

Moving into the kitchen, Connections by Julia Chuquis was chosen to harmonise beautifully with the green marble island designed by Sonelo Architects, which brings weight and warmth to the space.

With a mix of new and existing pieces, pastel accents, and a focus on shape and texture, the home feels effortless, balanced, and easy to spend time in—brought to life by the people and pets who call it home.

"We used Furnishd to help refresh our living room, entryway, and study after some recent renovations, and we're so glad we did. As two busy professionals, we just didn’t have the time (or energy!) to shop around or figure out what we wanted. Furnishd did all the heavy lifting, giving us great options we wouldn’t have thought of and making it so much easier to make decisions. Our spaces feel way more put-together and elevated. We'd definitely use Furnishd again!"
